Turtledash 2009
Another Successful Turtledash! Thanks to all of you!
This was a record year for the Turtledash with 37 registered dashers! Thanks to every one of you who showed up to make the 2009 Turtledash a memorable event and to pay tribute to Erik.
Race times will be posted to the website soon, as well as pictures; I’m creating a flickr group that will be linked to the site. If you have pictures request to join the flickr group!
A warm thank you to each and every volunteer on the course on Sunday, Derrick, Kerry, Brette and Rich, Faye, John (Hi Dad) and Natalia. The water station/checkpoints are crucial to keeping the Turtledash fun and safe especially this year when we had so many new faces on the course. Thank you for your time and support.
I personally would be lost without the team at Turtledash headquarters. Thanks to Jessica and Natalia who helped prepare all the Turtledash bags and numbers Saturday night (possibly against their will). Special thank you to Head House Elf, Leah, for taking phone calls organizing the house and keeping track of everyone. A huge thank you to my MIL unofficial house elf and baker of cinnamon rolls (No thanks given to my oven that decided it is broken this morning) and washer of dishes and organizers of foods! Thanks to Grandpa for feeding pancakes to one small dasher this morning and Poppop for taking a slightly bigger dasher out on the course.
Childcare. HEAPS OF THANKS to Jessica, Debbie and Leslie for taking care of the dashers in training while the course is open. So many of us couldn’t run without your support. Thank you.
